Adobeがmacromediaを買収だそうで

「えっ，April Foolではなくて？？」と思ったのは僕だけではないはず．どうやら本当のようです．プレスリリースもあります

そこに書いてある通り，

ですよね．デザイン業界の巨人になる，という言い方をしている人も多いようですが，PDFとFlash，SVGを抑えたとなると，Web上のコンテンツはほんとに囲い込んでしまったと言えます．

Flexなどで攻勢を強めようとしていた昨今のmacromediaだったので今後楽しくなるなぁと思っていたのですが，そいつを丸ごと買い取ってしまうとは思ってもみませんでした．独禁法とか大丈夫なんでしょうか．ここらへん素人なんで全然分かりませんが．

個人的には，由緒正しいFreehandの行く末が気になります（Freehandファン）．古巣に戻った，とも言えますが…．考えてみれば，Aldus -> macromedia -> (Aldus + Adobe + macromediaな）Adobeっていう風に権利が移っていってるんですから，多難なソフトウェアですよね…．
